DoxyPEP

DoxyPEP is a regimen that fights bacterial infections, and post-exposure prophylaxis. This treatment is designed to prevent the development of STDs after exposure, especially beneficial for individuals who have had unprotected intercourse.

DoxyPEP functions by blocking bacterial growth. When taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, it helps prevent the bacteria from taking root in the body, allowing the immune system to clear out any remaining bacteria before an infection occurs.

• Timing:
• Take DoxyPEP as prescribed, within 72 hours following unprotected sex.
• How to Take:
• Swallow one tablet with a full glass of water. To minimize the risk of esophagitis, avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking the medication.
• Sun Protection:
• Since DoxyPEP can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, always wear sunscreen and protective clothing when outside.

Common side effects may include:

• Upset stomach (taking the medication with food may reduce this)
• Sensitivity to sunlight (ensure you use sunscreen)
• Esophagitis (avoid lying down for 30 minutes post-dose)
